Tutored by André Navarra, Philippe Muller, Marcel Bardon and Mstislav Rostropovitch, cellist Dominique the Williencourt remains dedicated to authenticity and interpretation.
In search of harmony and spirituality, he is inspired by his voyages to the Sahara, Yemen, Caucasus, central Asia, India … to write his inspired compositions about Tuaregs, Armenians, and Tibetans.
Musical Director for the Association « Pour que l'Esprit Vive », he developed an artists' residence - backed since 2002 by the Academy of Arts in Paris - and Musical Meetings in the Abbey of Prée (36, Indre).
In 2004 he created the Label EA Records.
Dominique de Williencourt has been the Artistic Director of Musical Cruises of the 3rd Millennium since 1994, successfully uniting the musical elite every year at sea
